Two-month’s worth of my 2-cents worth

Howdy mates! What’s the goss, the 411? So it’s been 2 months and I promised an update and it never came through. Been busy (or perhaps lazy, to be honest) to sit down to actually type these down. But it’s TGIF today (read: free day at work, boss in Taiwan and all) and I finally am down to business. Hoho.

Michael’s visit over Feb was fab, needless to say. We had too much fun it was hard to not miss him once he left for Perth back again. Over his first weekend, we went to see a lot of places. Walked around my favourite Singapore River, shopped down Orchard Road, hung out and saw swans at the Botanical Gardens (there is a Swan Lake in Singapore and I didn’t know this!), went to Sentosa TWICE…one for Dee’s birthday party and another for our Beach Saturday. I think the best memory ever was that Saturday when we actually got crazy being random and strut around Chinatown being all touristy. Gosh I miss that little bugger.

Over the following weekend we made our way to Bali. Partied the night through the night before and caught a cab at 5am to catch our 7am flight. Our flight got struck by lightning on the way to Jakarta, just so you know. I thought I would have died right there, but I guess God figured I wasn’t ready. Thank you God…for giving me another day to live. Heh. Michael and I were dead tired from the lack of sleep I think we could have wanted to murder each other during the trip towards Bali.

We stayed over at Aston Kuta, a few minutes walk from all the action. Had plenty of fun shopping relaxing eating and partying and all that jazz, ya know? The best part about Bali was probably cycling in the rain and getting a massage after that. I also got a manicure that I felt like a pampered child. And OH! Our romantic dinner. Yes, people practically assumed we were a couple and we were on a Vday getaway or something. That was cute. But I must add that for the fact that Mike’s parents paid for the accommodation, I gotta give them the ups. Thank you Mr. & Mrs Ferrari!

Got back to Singapore for another weekend here. Had a smashing time at Chingay Parade getting all crazy and dancing on the streets and being caught on camera (there were like tons of these mad Singaporeans video-recording us on their mobile phones. So paparazzi!) but it was good. I remembered them playing Rock Around The Clock during the line dancing segment of the night and I taught Mike how to dance to that and people loved it =D I’m so proud of ourselves, I wish to be in February again.

That was so far the highlight of the month. I’ma put the videos up here, so if you’re tired of reading, catch all the juicy episodes of M&R in Singapore, Malaysia & Bali right here!
