This way up Today, David my kompis and I went for a hike in Macritchie. For the lack of anything else to do with our Wednesday, he suggested yesterday that "rumors says there's this trail somewhere." Nicely put there, kompis! Rumors hahaha. And so we started the day relatively early. I was supposed to go over to his place and prepare the sandwiches for our little hike at 9.30am (rather ambitious, I daresay) but I woke up at 9.45 instead upon his phone call. Hahaha fashionably late as always eh? And so we started our little trip down to Novena at 11plus and reached MacRitchie at 12 and began on the trail at 12.30pm. We were lucky it drizzled only a little bit so it was perfect weather for a hike since it was not too hot nor too wet. Dear friend here is amazed at all the signboards we have around which mostly show what is forbidden and should not be done. This one is my personal favourite, since the monkey looked tame and cute. It triggered our mission to look for the monkeys on the trail. We finally made it to the treetop walk suspension bridge after...an hour of walking? The view is nice, if they could probably cut a little of the trees so that we can see more of the reservoir. Haha. And then we stopped for a little break. I think hiking is a possible way to make one lose weight because after having like 1.5 of the sandwiches, we both got quite full haha. We finally managed to find some monkeys monkeying around after the suspension bridge. Mission: partially accomplished! Lol. It had been yet a fun yet tiring day out. I am not sure if I can say I'm fully ready for school to kick off again, but I think things are looking up. More updates about this...soon. =) Till later, alligator.
