Just for LaughsOkay here's a little laugh for the day... So Sweden's a "barren tax infested land", where the people are "ravaged, dispirited and hauntingly thin." Hahhaha honestly though you gotta admit it's funny. No matter what this shit is about, I love Sweden nonetheless. Don't let the American media sway your opinions, suckers! Lol... Here's my favourite part: Sweden - free healthcare US - Grey's Anatomy
Sweden - free education US - Pro Football
Sweden- Ingmar Bergman US - Twitter
Sweden - absence of American banks (I swear I haven't noticed this yet until he mentions it!) US - Snuggie (hahaha no link)At the end of the day, despite being a capitalist myself and someone who's life mission is probably to "get rich or die tryin'", I still think the Swedish system is excellent. Hello! Free healthcare and free EDUCATION!!! Education people...education! The impetus for a learned and increasingly progressive society. And no, I'm not saying this just because I've been staying here for months and I probably might have been conditioned to adore the way things are here (hurhur...or have I??? *raises eyebrows*) As much as I get pretty restless when I think school is pretty slack (I swear it's NOTHING I am used to. I kinda like it actually haha), and that I get annoyed when they get pretty bureaucratic for not allowing me to take a possibly simple theoretical nursing/sociology/social care course....but I still think this country is refreshing. This coming from a girl who grows in a city country all her life and have been brainwashed by elements of globalisation (or should I say Americanisation?) in her lifetime. For once, I don't have to turn into another street where there's Burger King or Starbucks staring straight into my face (yes I admit at complaining for the absence of my favourite coffee company but I survive okay!). And it gives me a fresh new perspectives of my surroundings. And let me tell you, the Swedes sure do love their local names. Hey come on how else do domestic industries survive if not for local support! And I love Plopp more than I love Hershey's chocolate or something...no kidding. to wrap this commentary up...here's what you get when you have 2 pseudo-Swedish (but in actual fact Singaporeans inside out) together...
