    Power to the people

Update between classes. Having a 3-hour break before the next lesson starts.

So this morning we had a refreshing lecture about the Media in Sweden. I actually forced myself out of bed because I expected the lecture to be enriching (and it sure was!) Plenty of insights into the Swedish mass media which gave me a basis to start on my term paper.

There were a few interesting facts that the lecturer managed to share with us. Did you know that: in Sweden, the people spend an average of 6hours a day exposed to the media. Of course you might say that we are all exposed to media messages every possible waking moment, but this 6hours probably refer to active exposure to say, the television, radio, active reading of newspapers or the news online. So much for my assumption that Swedes don't really watch much TV. Lol. But I joked about how the hours will see a rise during the ice hockey season. You have no idea how these Swedes worship the sport like the English worship their soccer. It's like the air they breathe or something.

Talking about soccer, last night I almost joined the dudes down at the sports bar to catch Man U vs. Inter Milan's second leg but failed to do that. Been missing out much on live telecasts for the Champion's League I think I should start catching up to get in the fever again. It's not every day of my life I get to be in Europe while the play offs are on right. But anyway, sad to say Inter defeated in the hands of the Devils last night. Damn those Old Traffords. I hope they get knocked out from the Quarter Finals. (haha!)

The Pools are in the quarters too, so I'm looking forward to another good match from them. Been out trashing Real like it's nobody's business. Insane. And I haven't caught a single game from them! What's wrong with me!!! I need to go to Anfield SOON SOON SOON!

Well I miss having my brother around to come back and discuss soccer so passionately with me. I do have 'bros' around here with me and I'm glad they are making up for my bro-homesickness. Hanging out with the dudes can be so comfortable, I would not blame them if they treat me like one of them. Well, yea, I'm a 'boy' anyway...or so they say.

Other than that, my bowel system is doing so incredibly fine it's starting to be quite abnormal. (sorry, getting personal here). But yea, maybe I might have taken more fibre than I normally do, but it's surprising, the rate I visit the toilet for the essential process of egestion I must say. I could also be the morning coffee I have every day, but hmm, I might probably be developing a mild case of caffeine-intolerant in the morning. Maybe I haven't really told any of you guys about this, but I have a mild case of lactose-intolerant in the morning. Yup...like I can't drink Milo or warm milk in the morning and my body would refuse to digest any form of strong dairy products. Cool huh. But I still like cheese and chocolates so yea. Go figure.

HOMAIGOK!!! It's 1130 already and I haven't start studying!!! This is craziness it calls for an emergency REALITY CHECK. Hi? Exams in a week? And you're still out for a movie and party tonight? Rasyida you are GONE girl!

Okay case of the schizophrenic. I'm going mental soon (or maybe might have). So I shall (try) to STUDY now! Ready set go let's go!

Alright, this is Syida, blowing kisses to you guys back at home.

    Love y'all!

    (edit) Work of art y'all!
