God Morgon, Jonkoping Song of the moment: Nymphetamine - Cradle of FilthHej hej! Hur mar du alla? Jag vaknade fran en god natts somn. Jag vill ata for att jag ar hungrig. Jag vill prata Engleska nu. (Hi, how are you everyone? I just woke up from a good night's sleep. I will eat because I am hungry. I will talk English now.)So how's it going, Sunshine? That's indeed my minimal attempt to blog in Swedish...trying my best to integrate and assimilate the language into my everyday life. Been going around like a child communicationg in Swedish with every possible store cashiers and shop assistants and waitresses and Swedish friends. Matt, my Swedish mate who stays on the 3rd floor in the same building as I do, told me that my pronunciation is "not that bad...a good try...but...okay...it is bad." The most polite way to put it ay. Lol. Well but I think I'm picking up on the grammar and vocabulary, but it's insane how their grammar is. They have 5 groups of plural or something like that and the teacher will only cover it this coming week. 5 *FRIGGIN* GROUP?! Are u kidding me?! Is one or two not enough? I mean, it's already fine if I say "Those eggs" or "These blankets" or whatever...right? Then again come to think of it there are different rules of plural in the English language too so why complain. Like what's up with "Goose" turning to "Geese" but a "Moose" won't turn to "Meese" and "Person" to "People", "Child" to "Children" or "Woman" and "Women" (please note the feminism in this one as I refuse to use "Man" haha). But yea...languages, forever complicated so don't argue. Anyway, talking about Women, today is International Women's Day!!! Happy Women's Day ladies around the world! Female Solidarity woohoo! I like the fact that I am celebrating this day in Sweden because this country has low power distance and equality is a central principle in this country. Indeed, the principle I wish to emphasise more and more on. It is equality that I stand up for, and empowerment for females, and female rights that had been overlooked over the years. Despite being an equal country, there are still elements of "unequality" here, such as higher paycheck for male employees compared to the female one. Women contribute to the economy too hey! And pay taxes...and shop more than men. So I suppose this paycheck issue should be revised to project the equality here better. Other than that, please look into having "Ladies Night" parties here in Sweden as well. I would...love to come back if this is implemented. Heh. I should plan my day today or I'd end up having time go by too quickly without doing anything productive. 2 important things to include in the schedule: Start-up on Intercultural Group Essay, and brainstorming ideas for Group Project Website. Once again, the end of the quarter means more work piling up. AND OMG I HAVE EXAMS COMING UP TOO! *faints* Swedish on March 23, Intercultural March 20, and a term paper for Swedish Society. Haha all the best Rasyida Samsudin...so much for slacking. And I don't really do my readings so I might have to do some speed reading to include some theories here and there. Tralala...life is wonderful. (inserts Jason Mraz song). Oh yeah I should also include "Clean my room" into my plan today but I think I should give it a miss...maybe I will do that at night after I am done studying and spending quality time doing productive things. At the moment my room looks like a pile of junk and I am living in a pig sty. Nothing new I'm sure, but I am trying to make a change while I am living on my own here right. So resolution 2.0 starts tomorrow after the clean up. But right now this is how the little cell I live in look like: Anyway, updates from home. SECOND suicide case in NTU within a week. Both students from the Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) faculty. What are they doing to these kids?! I mean seriously, 2 suicide cases in NTU within a week...if I was in Singapore I think I would be traumatised too. Seriously, I never had any fear of going to the toilet alone in NTU but I think these suicide cases now might make me some scaredy cat. Oh no! And my Dad would be extremely extra worried and cautious for me I bet. Probably starts giving pep talks and telling me to talk things out if I'm stressed or something. Don't worry Daddy dearest, I'll be sane and think about the people I love before I do anything stupid. I've also had Skype sessions with dearest babies. Gosh I miss them SOOOO MUCH! Putra Khairul Ariffin is growing incredibly cute with that charming smile of a Prince Charming. Muka rezeki lah...I just wanna pinch those chubby cheeks and kiss kiss kiss that cute little boy. And Putri Nuur Arifah might have forgotten who I am..sigh...babies and their short term memory. Might have to try really hard to get her back when I go back I think. But anyway, here are the snapshots from my awesome Skype session with my lovelies: I didn't know I had that effect on baby boys. His pants dropped off while I was talking. Putri: "Ooh...I am mesmerised I can't even move a muscle". No seriously, this girl just stared at the screen trying to figure out who I am. And she scratched her head. Must have been confusing huh. "Where have my Mak Su gone to?"...and next thing she saw someone who looks EXACTLY like her Mak Su on the computer screen. Life's like that, Little Putri. (extras) - and here are some screenshots from some Skype session with the sizzling Mexican hotties, Syaf and Neem, like 1.5months ago I think. Okay that's all for updates today. Expect more from me, the Evil Villain from Mars for the month of March then. P/s: I dyed my hair red. INSANE! It's super Hayley Paramore red my sister might cringe if she sees it. But I promise to get it back to dark colours before I come back and not be mistaken for a minah! hee. P/s/s: Barcelona here I come!
