A little tranquility to do the trick / 12:37 AM
A little tranquility to do the trickSong of the moment: Breathing - LifehouseI'm finding my way back to sanity, againThough I don't really know whatI am gonna do when I get thereTake a breath and hold on tightSpin around one more timeAnd gracefully fall back in the arms of grace
In times like these, a good music and some hot chocolate should do the trick, but since I haven't any hot chocolate and marshmellows to remedy this poor soul, I'll settle for some good Lifehouse and tranquility and the comfort of my bed. Today I decided to hibernate in and only went out in the morning for a group meeting. Work's piling already, and I've got a 2 reports due next week. One for Visual Communication about some theoretical stuff (OMG I JUST READ THAT!!! all the best to me) and another for Intercultural Communication. And to think we're planning a trip to Helsinki over the weekend and continue on to Amsterdam, so I will be away from Jonkoping till the 13th (will get back on that). But anyway, gosh I better utilise my time to the best I can over the next few days. Missing deadlines is not going to be funny; and it will never go into my record of university education thankyouverymuch. The Visual Comunication project is getting quite intense too. The group decided to get most of the thigs done by Monday as David is going away after the 12th (upon which I will be back from my trip), so we have like posters and websites and a short clip to work on. Geez. Plenty going on there. But I'll be going for a photo taking day off this Wednesday with David so it's going to be AWESOME!! Yay cameras! The group is really great too. And to think all the typical stereotypes of Swedish people, please, for these people's sake, eliminate them. My Swedish groupmates are really cool. Sandra is like the cutest girl and Linus is strangely funny. And today Linus, Elin and another friend of theirs (gorgeous girl of Lebanese descent) brought me for a Thai lunch. Good food and satisfatory buffet spread. 69kr for the buffet (which is about 13SGD) but it's really worth it. Should go there some time with the rest of the Singaporeans. Cure to homesickness. Or something close to it at least. So anyway, the project exhibition is due Monday February 16th. And Jamie, Dan, Angela, Marilyn and I are planning a trip to Helsinki, Finland over this weekend (7th & 8th Feb)and then stop over in Stockholm for a day before catching a flight to Holland and then heading up down to Amsterdam for the week ahead. Phew, a long week there. And it doesn't help that all the report deadlines are due next week too. But thank goodness those are individual reports so at least I can probably work on them while on the 10hour ferry ride to Finland. That's right, you heard me right. 10HOURS. 10 *FREAKING* HOURS. What on Earth am I going do to for 10 hours then? WRITE ESSAYS! hahaha. Joke of the century but yes that's my plans ladies and gentlemen, I am going to work my brain while on a trip. Well, doesn't matter anyway, I find thrill in doing that. And so we're going to be back by the 12th. Gonna miss a costume party down at O'Leary's on Monday though (boohoo) and a movie night organised by the HLK Student Union (note: HLK is the School of Education & Communication). And they're going to view a romantic movie in light of the upcoming VDay. If they are screening The Notebook and I miss that, I'm going to cry I swear. Talking about VDay...we're not going away for that weekends. Boohoo. So essentially a static one in Jonkoping...Well I do hope it'll still be a good and memorable one here ay? *raises eyebrows* haha. I have class tomorrow morning and my biological clock is screwed. Doesn't surprise me much anyway. Happens all the time. A nocturnal animal stays nocturnal all its life. So does a nocturnal human. Alright that's all for the update this time, lovelies. I miss my sister & brother & brother-in-law & daddy and Skype-ing with them yesterday was so good. And I miss my babies too so big sis, please put them to the camera soon I wanna see them. Love you guys sooo much! Much love, Syida
