Surreal : Fare thee wellSo here I am enjoying the warmth the night has to offer me. Sipping coffee and tuning to slow acoustics. Thinking about how surreal this is, how incredibly unreal this feels that I am about to embark on another one of the most fantastic adventures in my life. For one thing, I never imagined how life would be like without my family and girl friends around within range. I am a person of close relationships and yes, I treasure my primary circle with my life. So this is definitely going to be an extreme breaking-out-of-comfort-zone experience. All the best to me…I anticipate being homesick in the second week and learning to manage it. (won’t be so bad if I anticipate would it?) The holidays period had been fantastic though. I think I had adequate time to cherish time with people who matter, despite not being mentally prepared for this any earlier. I swear it did not hit me until last night that I will be leaving for (OMG) Europe today today today! Prior to last night, this whole thing had been merely an idea, just a thought waiting to be concretised. What is something I had been yearning for since I was a kid is finally going to come true? Pretty much. And of course, I never mentioned this but since I was in secondary school, I’ve always had this secret desire to backpack across Europe on my own, alone, in a bid to search myself sometime when I’m “much older”. I guess some childhood wishes do come true. On a lighter note, packing had been a chore over the past few days, and last night I actually had a battle with the suitcase as I sat on it in a WWE-slam style since the bag would not close. And conveniently today my brother walked into my room telling me I might as well do a second luggage to chuck some of the items bulging from the first one. Nice work right there huh. I’m not surprised I did not think of it myself. Definitely nothing new there. Haha! Alright folks, you’ll be hearing from me as soon as I can get an internet connection there! In the meantime, pray that I leave and return to this country in one piece. LOL. P/S: I step into this with a resolution in mind. I’ll let you guys in on it come June. (This entry is updated with the help of the lovely Anu, who typed this sentence as well. BYE SYIDA!)
