Dag tva! / 5:44 PM
Dag tva – Katrineholmes (Day Two- Katrineholmes)(disclaimer: this entry was typed at the following stated time but posted online at a much later time) Hej! Timecheck: Jan 9th. Singapore – 7.19pm. Sweden – 12.19pm. Woke up this morning and had a nice “Swedish” breakfast. Muesli cereals and corn flakes, milk and vanilla flavoured yogurt, fruit juice and English tea, toast, you name it. Now that’s my kinda thang! LOL. Mariam (or Mrs. Koski) and Johanna (the elder daughter) were out to work and school respectively when we woke up though, so only Esa (the host himself) and Soffea (the younger daughter, a cute 6year old) who were around to have breakfast with us. Esa lent us some durable thick coats (which made us look like forest rangers by the way) so that we can try them on and walk around the neighbourhood. Little Soffea brought us around the street, and I must say the snow is absolutely GORGEOUS! The ground was covered with snow, which might be of 10cm thickness so we took our boots and had a walk with them. They have a nice forest backyard so the trees towering around this area are beautiful. I was hoping for berries though, haha but I could not find any. Maybe not yet. But Soffea picked acorns and planted them back. Cute. Angela and I were so fascinated at the amount of snow all around and we attempted to build a snowman at the back of the house, but to no avail. We managed to craft out snow angles though! The temperature here today is 1degree, and on top of that it’s dry, so despite lying down on the snow, we did not get wet (amazingly). The coat Esa lent us were good too, we did not feel cold at all. (haha I swear this is so action). My stomach is growling. Geez. I think the cold weather makes you hungry that easily. Esa is making sandwiches for us while we wait for Mariam to come back. We’ll be having early dinner today and maybe do some shopping in the city! Can’t wait! Alrighties, I shall go catch some cartoons in Swedish with Soffea and maybe pick up some language along the way. Till later! P/s: I turned a quasi-vegetarian here. Come on congratulate me on starting a new diet of vegetables and everything healthy. Lose 5kg by the end of the trip and get a body like Jennifer Garner by the end of 6months okay? We’ll see we’ll see. =D P/s/s: I should set up a Flickr page of my own. Too many pictures, too many. Till then... Love y’all! Syida
